silver mustard pot - Francethis French mustard pot has cylindrical body, pierced with geometrical motifs. standing on three hoof feet. It is engraved with interlaced cyphers and has a plain hinged lid with acorn finial. The interior liner is in blue glass. The handle has floral motifs. The silver mustard pot is fully marked for Département Moselle, Bureau de Garantie Metz, year 1798/1809. It has also a later set of hallmarks corresponding to a new essayer's control made after 1838 (Minerva). The mustard pot is 4 in. high (cm. 9) and was bought from a French dealer in Paris, Brocante de Place de la Bastille. This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet. On the right bar of this page there are some advertisings of websites of silver and antique dealers | ||
