silver octagonal drum mustard pot - England![]() It has straight sided octagonal shape, blue-glass liner, stepped rim, crest and coronet on the hinged lid with a shell shaped thumb piece. This mustard pot is an Edwardian production of a model in use since 18th century. You may see an example in the last photo below, where is illustrated a quite similar mustard pot made by Robert Hennel in 1792. The mustard pot is 2 in. high (cm. 5) and was bought from an Italian dealer at a Flea Market. This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet.
