Georgian silver caster - Englandthis silver caster has plain baluster body and acorn finial. It was made by Samuel Meriton I, London, 1748. It is fully marked under the base. It has also some scratched numbers, representing the weight of the item (this practice is called "scratch weight"). The caster is 5 1/4 in. (cm. 13,5) high and was bought by a U.K. dealer throughthe Internet. This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet.
