devil head silver Cayenne spoon - England
this is a Edwardian silver 'Cayenne' spoon (or snuff spoon) made in Birmingham in 1906 by silversmith
William Hutton & Sons.
It has a 'devil' at the top of the handle.The spoons is coupled to an ancient (not original: maybe a scent bottle) blown-glass bottle (an example of original cayenne powder bottle is illustrated on bottom page).
The spoon is 3 1/4 in. long (cm. 8) and was bought by an US dealer through the Internet.
