Georgian silver shaving brush - England


Georgian silver shaving brush with crest this is a silver shaving brush made about 1800. It bears an interesting crest with a 'leopard's head' and a swan over a crown.
The halmark is rubbed but the 'lion passant', the duty mark (George III) and maker' mark (?.N) is also readable.
The shaving brush is 5.5 in. long (14 cm) including bristles and was bought from an UK dealer through the Internet
