silver baby rattle - Italy
this is a silver baby rattle of 'Art Deco' taste made in Italy in the 'thirties'It is made by six superimposed geometric elements of hexagonal shape and is engraved with the dedications '6-9-36' (September 9, 1936) and 'SERGIO'.
It is hallmarked with '800' (800/1000 silver) and a rubbed maker's mark.
The rattle is 2 1/4 in. long (cm. 6) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.
