Venetian silver holy water font - Italythis silver holy water font is decorated with baskets of flowers, ribbons and bundles of leaves. It was made by Bartolomeo Valazza, a silversmith operating in Venice in the first half of 19th century. The holy water font has the hallmarks in use under the Austrian domination, including "anvil" (small dimension's piece) and "gondola's prow" (Venice). It measures 7 in. (cm. 18) and was bought in an Antique Fair in Venice. This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet. On this page there are some advertisings of websites of silver and antique dealers | ||
