This is a selection of marks used by Italian silversmiths of the 20th century.
The use of a 'factory mark' is a practice scarsely followed by Italian silversmiths and usually the
identification of the maker relies only on the 'number' introduced in 1935 on the 'lozenge mark'.
In this page I presents some marks of Italian factories, identified or not identified, trying to create the
bases for a future deepening of this interesting matter.

The Brandizzi firm, founded in 1887, is now active as BRANDIZZI S.N.C. DI BRANDIZZI ARNALDO E ANDREA & C. mark RM 1353.
The mark on the image is the ancient mark (1935/1944: number in the lozenge not deciphered) belonging to a gilded silver chalice
